Success Spotlight: Toronto Korean Entrepreneurship Project

We’re thrilled to share the fantastic news about the first seminar of the ‘Toronto Korean Entrepreneurship Project: Establishing 100 Korean Entrepreneurs,’ which took place on January 16, 2024, in Toronto.

This event was a collaboration between Harmony Law Group and The Way Company Inc. The seminar brought together a diverse group of participants, including Korean founders currently running startups in Canada, prospective entrepreneurs interested in startup establishment, and individuals with a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem. It served as a platform for Korean investors, Toronto-based Korean entrepreneurs, and startup representatives to engage in discussions on various topics.

The opening ceremony kicked off with a presentation on “Points to Consider in Entrepreneurship” by Kwang Hoon Shin from Harmony Law Group. Following this, Wayne Kim, CEO of Andorix, shared insights on the “Canada Startup Ecosystem,” and Jason Kim, CEO of Green Oil Inc., discussed “Introduction and Experience Stories of Canadian Renewable Energy Companies.” The first part concluded with a Q&A session by Director Bangjinho of Strong Ventures, focusing on the “Requirements for Attracting Investments.”

The second part featured participant networking, including presentations by Sanghyun Kim, CEO of MION, a McMaster University student operating a startup, and Eddie Shin, CEO of Wondermak Makgeolli.

The session provided a platform for participants to introduce their businesses and share startup stories, fostering active exchange through networking rounds.

A big thank you goes out to all the participants, and the organizers are looking forward to the continued enthusiastic participation of prospective entrepreneurs and early business enthusiasts. We are excited about organizing more successful seminars and creating opportunities for knowledge exchange in the future.
