Empowering Entrepreneurs: Success at Toronto Business Seminar

Successful Launch of the Toronto Entrepreneurship Seminar on November 23, 2023

On November 23, 2023, North York’s Edithvale Community Centre became the bustling hub for Korean entrepreneurs in Toronto, hosting the highly anticipated entrepreneurship and business seminar. Jointly organized by the Toronto JoongAng Daily, Harmony Law Group, and The Way Company Inc., the seminar aimed to equip start-up founders and early-stage entrepreneurs with accessible, practical information and unparalleled networking opportunities.

The event was structured around four essential topics every aspiring business owner must know, delivered by seasoned experts in their respective fields. Lawyer Kwanghoon Shin from Harmony Law Group covered “The Basics of Starting a Business – Essential Legal Knowledge,” while mortgage specialist Choi Sootai from Huntington Cross Mortgage explored “Types and Methods of Loans Available to Entrepreneurs.” Monica Choi (Choi Yookyung) from HomeLife Frontier Realty provided practical advice on “Selecting a Business Location and Real Estate Buying Methods.” Lastly, marketing consultant Michelle Kim from The Way Company Inc. delved into “Necessary Marketing/Sales Strategies and Execution” with specific case studies.

The seminar was further enriched by the participation of ten sponsors, including Huntington Cross Mortgage, Hana Bank (Bloor Branch), Sodamhwa, Turtle Coffee, Wondermak, Omabell, Florist Samo, Kream, and Odri House, who added to the event’s vibrancy with business and product introductions and gifts for attendees.

Michelle Kim, The Way Company Inc.’s business/marketing consultant, remarked on the overwhelming interest from the Korean entrepreneurial community, stating, “The registration filled up within two days, and we even had a waiting list, which shows the strong desire for practical support among Korean entrepreneurs.” She also highlighted plans for the future, “Due to the high demand, we will be offering programs on specific topics next year to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses more effectively.” Additionally, she emphasized the goal of fostering a community through ongoing seminars, “We aim to significantly increase networking opportunities for business collaboration and create a forum where Korean entrepreneurs can share ideas and cooperate.”

The Way Company Inc. is committed to supporting Korean entrepreneurs in Toronto through insightful seminars and programs designed to inspire, educate, and connect the community, paving the way for successful business ventures.
